The start of the 2019-20 Cup trail is well underway in the ADL as the Presidents League Cup was the focus for most of our sides last weekend.
Split into a First and Preliminary Round to try and secure the lower-ranked sides a fairer draw there was a goal glut with some major thrashings, even from teams in the same Division.

Two sides hit 8 as AVD Development hit Tetsworth Reserves for their biggest defeat in years. Kedge Jeffrey with a hat-trick. Tetsworth First team made the clubs aggregate score for the day look better as they whacked Wendover Reserves 8-1. Goals for firsts, Joe kitchen worldy, outside of the foot free-kick to open the scoring, followed by Julian Reed 2, Jimmy Riley, Matty Davis, Zoi Jones, Ryan Binnee, Luke Dowie.
Ayletico only had nine players but still thumped Tring Corries Development 7-0 in their first ever ADL game. Dom Mitchell scoring five times.
There was an action-packed game between AWFC and FC Titans as the former won 4-3, Bruno Ferrieria with two blinders from distance to change the game for AW as they held off their Wycombe based opponents three times.
Haddenham Utd beat Long Marston 5-0. Elmhurst beat Wendover 3-0, via Toqueer Butt, Aliyaan Haider and Akeel Khan goals. Wingrave Reserves got revenge for last week’s League defeat by beating St John’s 2-1. Thame FC beat Ludgershall Reserves 0-1, the final game saw Stoke Mandeville make it two wins in two with a 3-2 away win at Bedgrove Utd Reserves.
Back in League action and the early runners are starting to show. APBS top the Premier Division with a 3-0 win over Prestwood, Ian Pearce (2) and Mike Ainger scoring. Bedgrove Utd got their return to the top off to a winning start with a 2-0 away win at Rivets Sports, Kris Greig kept Rivets in the game before two first-half goals from Craig Carby (header) and Dan Lynn sealed the points
In Division One Great Missenden, as expected, have two wins from two. This time a 7-2 obliteration of Oving.GMFC 7-2 Oving,
Goals from Tom Gasiorowski (2), Mitch Cox (2), Craig Osborne, Charlie Brooks & Ben Heathers. Mitch Cox was MOTM after a fantastic display. Quainton got their first win since their relegation, 4-1 over Ludgershall. FC Bierton got their season back on track with a 3-2 win over Wingrave, Aiden Bailey, Jay Court and an OG.
In Division Two Prestwood Reserves hit their 23rd goals of the season just two games in as they humiliated Haddenham Utd Res 9-1. Alastair Horner netting four times. Aylesbury Vale FC are on their heels though after they beat Quainton Reserves 4-0, Hammad Javaid (3) and Matt O`Donovan scoring.
