The Chiltern MS Centre’s Pop-Up Art Weekend is back on 9 & 10 March 2019 – supported by Michael Anthony Estate Agents.
On Saturday, 9 March and Sunday, 10 March, the Chilterns MS Centre will be hosting their Pop-Up Art weekend. Michael Anthony Estate Agents is delighted to be supporting this superb fundraising event for a second year.
The event is free to attend and visitors will be welcomed by a range of artwork, from paintings, photographs, ceramics, jewellery, sculptures and much more. The quantity and quality of artists exhibiting this year is better than ever. With live demonstrations from some of the artists, there will be plenty to see and do. Details on the event and all of the artists taking part will be available at chilternsart.org.uk.
To date over £100,000 has been raised by this event alone and it has helped the Centre provide an incredible 2,750 hours of physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, oxygen treatment, occupational and complementary therapies to people in the local community, and their families, living with multiple sclerosis (MS).
After the excitement of the 2018 event, when local service personnel from RAF Halton helped the event to go ahead by clearing the snow, organisers are looking for better weather this year. Despite the indifferent weather, 2018 was its best ever year, but the team are hoping to smash the total this year.
The Chilterns MS Centre provides a hugely valuable service to people living with MS, and their families, in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. With over 330 people attending treatment at the Centre every week, the Centre plays an important role in empowering people with MS to manage their symptoms and live healthier and happier lives.
Michael Donnachie, Senior Partner at Michael Anthony, commented: “The work that the Chilterns MS Centre offers for people with MS is outstanding. We are delighted to be associated with this event again and can’t wait to see many people visiting the Centre on the first weekend in March; it promises to be a colourful and enlightening weekend.”
Harriet Karia, Head of Fundraising and Communications at the Chilterns MS Centre, said: “Everyone at the Centre is delighted to have Michael Anthony Estate Agents back on board supporting our Pop-Up Art Weekend. The support of local businesses is essential to a successful weekend, and we wouldn’t be able to showcase artists’ work without them. Entry is once again free. So, come along and browse and buy the artwork on show. Let’s hope for better weather, even though it didn’t stop visitors spending on art in the name of a good cause last year.”
