How’s the property market looking in Beds, Bucks & Herts?

In 2018, Michael Anthony Estate Agents enjoyed another productive and effective year. There’s no escaping Brexit, but that hasn’t stopped people moving; it hasn’t stopped people upsizing due to extending their family, neither has it stopped professionals relocating for a new job.

Many DIY firms, builders and suppliers are trying to encourage people to stay in their homes. However, we just haven’t seen people looking to stand still. Yet, we are exercising caution too; these aren’t the heady days of the past. Today’s buyer is more circumspect, wanting to work with trusted professionals who have experience of the local environment. Experience and knowledge of the local arena is important; this has grown since we founded our business almost 30 years ago.

We don’t promise things we can’t deliver, we just offer a service that property sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants can rely on. We deliver this with humility, knowledge and a desire to work with you.

Consumers are more knowledgeable in 2018; they are undertaking their research and are “shopping around.” Their moving habits and trends are quite interesting.

Just like getting married on a Saturday is a tradition many have adhered to, so was moving into your new home on a Friday. Not any longer. These days, home movers are more flexible in both their personal and professional lives. With the prevalence of home working and empathetic employers now increasing, home buyers can move on a Wednesday, for example, when there is greater availability from removal professionals, as well as being able to stretch their moving budget significantly.

Finally, there’s plenty to celebrate with us in 2019. It’s our 30th birthday and we’re very much looking forward to celebrating with the residents and communities in which we work. We love what we do and seeing our customers happy is what drives us.

If you’re considering moving in 2019, do get in touch with your local office. We’ll appraise your property for free. When it’s time to put your property on the market, we’ll use professional photography and cutting-edge marketing techniques to attract the attention of the most curious buyer. Let’s make it happen.

We hope you enjoy the Christmas period; from everyone at Michael Anthony we hope you have a peaceful and merry Christmas. Finally, we wish you a prosperous 2019.
