Despite some heavy weather, there was some joy for four ADL Sides last Saturday in the Berks and Bucks Junior Cup.
Rivets Sports Reserves had been thrashed in their 2 league games but they saw off MK Wanderers Reserves 2-1. Phil Bartlett with a double before being sent off, a last gasp goal-line clearing sending them through. There were two 9 goal thrillers as Stone Utd beat Clean Slate, a reformer former semi-pro team 5-4 away; Darryl Bailey (2) Ben Russell, Darren Rickard and Ash Morgan with the winner with 3 minutes to go. Aylesbury Raiders won by the same 5-4 away score at Unite MK Reserves; Dan O’Sullivan with a hat-trick, Rhys Cairnie and yet another Dane Hanson goal. AVD Development also won away 4-1 at Twyford Utd Reserves. In two all ADL ties, division Two free scorers Prestwood Reserves upset ADL Division One side Oving with a 5-3 victory, Josh Brown with 4 goals. AWFC avoided a banana skin with a 3-1 win over new boys Aylesbury Vale 3-1. Bedgrove Utd Reserves are also through after a default win at Padbury FC.
Of those sides out Quainton lost 6-1 at home to Steeple Claydon. Wingrave Reserves were beaten 9-1 by Newport Pagnall Athletic, St Johns lost 4-2 to Pistone & Ivinghoe Development.
Back in League action, the 3 Divisions keep throwing up some interesting results
