Leading local business, Michael Anthony Estate Agents, is celebrating having won the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award at the prestigious Buckinghamshire Business First (BBF) awards at Aylesbury Waterside on Wednesday, 9 October 2019.
In a fiercely competitive category, Partner for the business, Mark Vosper, was on hand to collect the trophy.
In its 30th year, Michael Anthony is proud of the efforts it does for the community and is totally focused on giving something back to schools, community projects, clubs and worthy causes to help them grow and evolve. Since 1st April 2018, Michael Anthony has directly committed £17,200 to local good causes and charity. Indirectly, the funds will extend to £000,000s.
Throughout 2018 and 2019, Michael Anthony has been focused on providing a high level of philanthropy work in the local community. As an Aylesbury company we have been keen to ‘put back into the community’, with much work done with sponsorship of local charitable events including: Aylesbury MS Society Art Exhibition, Jazz Upfront 2019 in conjunction with St Mary’s Church, sponsorship of local school fetes including Turnfurlong Junior School, Berryfields Primary School, Fairford Leys School, Bedgrove Infant School smarty hunt, Sponsorship of Aylesbury and District Football League, sponsorship of Aylesbury F.C., money for the newly formed Berryfields scout group for tents, Aston Clinton ‘Astonbury Festival’ main sponsors, sponsorship of Tring Cricket Club, mentoring with ‘Aylesbury’s Young Dragons Den’ in conjunction with Metro Bank, providing work experience places for school students in the school holidays.
Furthermore, ‘doing the right thing’ for the environment is extremely important to Michael Anthony. The business has a well-established environmental programme, which has helped to raise awareness of environmental issues and aim to reduce our carbon footprint.
The employees, colleagues and suppliers all get involved and welcome this added interest. This could mean attending a fete, sitting on a “Dragons Den” style contest with our colleagues at Metro Bank for students from John Colet School or supporting the local football league. The community is at the heart of everything the business does, as Mark Vosper commented: “I’m delighted to collect this award on behalf of the business. Congratulations to all the other finalists. We are thrilled to have been recognised for the work we do locally – the community does mean a huge amount to us. The award will be pride of place in the Aylesbury office.”
