The Chilterns MS Centre’s Pop-Up Art Weekend proved a popular event once again, raising over £17,000 to help people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). In total, the amount raised will help fund over 485 hours of treatment for patients.
What’s more, the amount raised this year is an increase of the previous record raised in 2019 of £16,000. For yet another year, the Centre was transformed into a busy arena of artists and art lovers coming together for a common goal – the Chilterns MS Centre. Visitors were greeted by a range of work including paintings, photographs, ceramics, glass and jewellery, and it made a splendid sight. Furthermore, Michael Anthony Estate Agents was delighted to be involved as supporting partner.
Over the years in excess of £130,000 has been raised to help the Centre to provide physical, practical and emotional support to people with MS and their families. The services are free to those affected by MS and so events like the Art Weekend provide the vital funds the Centre needs to keep supporting the local MS community.
Michael Donnachie, Senior Partner, commented: “It’s fantastic that the community turned out to support the Centre. The Centre looked amazing as it was transformed into a superb, albeit temporary, art gallery. We were delighted to see so many people take in the exhibits and view the variety of artwork and then buy some too. Well done to the artists who contributed to another successful weekend. On behalf of Michael Anthony Estate Agents in Aylesbury we were delighted to be associated once again. We recognise these fund-raising events can make a huge difference to someone living with MS, and the funds raised will help more people with MS to achieve their goals – another record amount is a great achievement for the team. Well done all. We enjoy working with the Centre and look forwards to supporting them in the future.”
