An encyclopaedia of colour, spectacle, and excitement descended upon Michael Anthony’s Tring office on Saturday, 14 April 2018 – and it was all for a fantastic cause.
The team from The Pepper Foundation came down to the office to formally kick off ticket sales this year’s wonderful event. Celebrating its 30th year, the show will take place at atmospheric The Court Theatre, Pendley between Tuesday, 17th 2018 to Saturday, 21 July, 2018. A number of performances, including matinees, are scheduled. Once again, there is a firm promise of brilliant rock and pop performances from first-class musical talent.
The Pepper Show is raising funds explicitly for The Pepper Foundation, a registered charity which funds the hospice at home children’s nursing team managed by Rennie Grove Hospice Care (RGHC). This innovative paediatric team, (known as the Pepper Nurses), offers specialist palliative care and support to children with a life-threatening or life-limiting illness throughout the Chilterns area of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The nurses work with families to provide individualised care and support for each child in their own home on a 24 hour, 365 days of the year, on-call basis. The Pepper Nurses currently care for more than 50 children at any one time, at absolutely no cost to the patients or their families.
The nurses are qualified paediatric nurses with extensive experience in caring for children and young people up to 19 years of age with conditions that require palliative or end-of-life care. The team works in partnership with all other professionals involved with the child and family to ensure co-ordination of care.
Andy Smith, regional manager for Michael Anthony Estate Agents commented: “It’s a fantastic cause, and it was wonderful to welcome the team to the office to kick off their campaign for 2018. Their work means so much to so many – across the community – and we’re delighted to support the event. Tickets can be bought directly from the Pepper website.
Amy Billington at The Pepper Foundation said: “We had a lot of fun on Saturday with the team at Michael Anthony in Tring. Their tremendous supporters of The Pepper Foundation and we’re delighted their assisting. This is our fourth year of The Pepper Show at Pendley Manor and I can assure you the show will be a feast for the eyes and ears. All monies raised will support the nursing efforts offering specialist palliative care and support to children with a life-threatening or life-limiting illness. We hope to see you at one of the shows we’re putting on 17 July to 21 July 2018.”
