About Bierton

Bierton is approximately half a mile northeast of Aylesbury. This historic village was first recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 and described as Bortone, which means “farmstead near a stronghold” in modern English. Set within the village is Saint James the Great Church dating back to the 14th century. As many historical features of the village have remained unchanged, you can find a varied range of character properties in the area. The village is truly a beautiful place and you’ll find yourself transported to a different time when walking the cobbled streets.
