Aylesbury is a historic market town right in the heart of Buckinghamshire situated midway between High Wycombe and Milton Keynes. Rich in history, it is a lively, growing town and in 2017 was awarded Garden Town status by the Government. The town has an excellent variety of amenities available to residents and visitors alike.
There are many restaurants including well-known national names to independent establishments, plus a great selection of local pubs. There’s also a cinema and The Waterside Theatre for West End shows. To keep active there are sports clubs and centres and because of where Aylesbury is situated, it benefits from the attractive surrounding villages and Chiltern Hills for countryside walks and relaxation.
Aylesbury has several nurseries, schools and one college for further education. There’s a diverse range from grammar to community upper schools and a variety of primary schools. Secondary schools include Aylesbury Grammar School (boys only), Aylesbury High School (girls only) and the Aylesbury Vale Academy.
Aylesbury is an ideal location for commuters. It has great road links with access to the A41, M25 and M40 motorways. For rail travel, the Aylesbury railway station offers frequent services to London Marylebone. Buses conveniently connect the area to other local places as well as major destinations such as Milton Keynes and Oxford.
