What are the best restaurants for families in Aylesbury town centre?

There are plenty of excellent restaurants for families in Aylesbury town centre. The Works in Market Square is an American-style restaurant that has a vast menu for families looking for a treat. Inside there’s American decor and it’s a favourite spot for breakfasts on Sundays. Reviewers on TripAdvisor have sung the praises of the ice cream available here! 

If you’re looking for something spicier, Mela is rated the 2nd best family restaurant in Aylesbury on TripAdvisor. The restaurant is family-run and has an extensive menu featuring Indian, Asian and Bangladeshi food. Mela is praised for their fantastic hospitality and portion sizes. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and there’s something for all the family.

There are plenty of high-street chain restaurants for families in Aylesbury town centre like Wagamama, Zizzi and Nando’s. Locals praise independent Italian restaurant La Salute for their relaxing, family atmosphere. La Salute is a favourite pre-theatre dinner spot for diners heading over to the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre

The Plough serves up traditional pub food and has a small play area outside for the little ones. The pub also offers a comprehensive vegan and vegetarian menu and welcomes your four-legged friends!

There are lots of lovely restaurants for couples to enjoy for special occasions or date night. Temple Street Wine Bar is a fantastic spot for couples. Their menu is terrific, and they host themed wine and food pairing evenings showcasing how wine can complement fine food and vice versa. The Grill Steakhouse is a firm favourite with couples from the Aylesbury area. Reviewers on TripAdvisor say that The Grill’s steaks are the best in Aylesbury! 

For couples looking for a more boozy date night, The Snug Bar offers a wide range of cocktails and a classic bar menu, as well as cocktail making classes for a bit of a different date night. 

Gastropub The Broad Leys is located on the outskirts of Aylesbury town centre and is over 300 years old. Reviewers on TripAdvisor praise The Broad Leys for their cosy decor, delicious menu and superb service. 

What are the best takeaways in Aylesbury town centre?

Last year delivery brand Deliveroo published data of the top five most-ordered takeaway dishes in Aylesbury. The data showed that locals’ most popular order time is 8:32 pm on a Friday. The oreo cupcake waffle from The Works comes in at number one, followed by two chicken dishes from chains KFC and Wagamama. Fourth and fifth are a chicken wrap from the independent chicken shop Chargos Piri Piri and a medium cod and chips from The Codfather

Desire is the top-rated Indian takeaway on Just Eat. The restaurant is in the town centre and is praised by reviewers on TripAdvisor for its service. If you’re after a Chinese takeaway, there’s noodle restaurant Noodle Nation Aylesbury who do lots of different noodle and rice dishes. For a more traditional Chinese takeaway, there’s Jade House that has everything you and your family could want from a Chinese.
