Stoke Mandeville is located 3 miles south of Aylesbury and also 3.4 miles from the attractive, market town of Wendover. The village is notably known for Stoke Mandeville Hospital, it has the largest spinal injuries ward in Europe and is the birthplace of the Paralympic movement. Stoke Mandeville Stadium is the National Centre for Disability Sport in the United Kingdom.
