About Stone

Stone is a village set close to the southwestern edge of Aylesbury. Along with the village of Hartwell, Stone is well known as the home of Hartwell House, a Grade I-listed Jacobean country house. A Historic House Hotel since 1989, Hartwell House is currently under the tenure of The National Trust. Stone is incredibly picturesque and offers peaceful village living, with plenty of local independent businesses and stunning walks.

Stone has excellent road links to the M40 motorway and Oxford as it is set on the A418. Ideal for commuters, rail links include Aylesbury train station as well as Haddenham train station, which provide access to both London Marylebone and London Euston. Additionally, bus routes provide easy access to Aylesbury and Oxford.
