Fairford Leys is an imaginative new village situated in the southwest area of Aylesbury. It has its own village square with a range of traditionally fronted shops, including restaurants, a nursery, a hairdresser and barbers, beauty shops, a craft shop and gift shop, an off licence, a small general store, an ecumenical church and a community centre. It also has a Nuffield Fitness Centre a short distance from the centre. Also, the village offers dentists, an optician, a pharmacy, a veterinary practice and a doctor’s surgery within the environs of the village.

A great deal of thought and planning has created a village environment with architecture inspired by traditional housing styles. The main streets and centre of the village have higher-density housing, with more significant detached properties at the edge of the village. The design includes plenty of play areas, open spaces, playing fields and a private golf course adjacent to the village.
